Chloroplast Genome Analysis Illuminates Two Cornus Species and Family Relationships
Researchers assembled and characterized the complete chloroplast genomes of two Cornus species, Cornus sanguinea and Cornus sericea, detailing their genetic architecture. This analysis identified 131 genes in each species and confirmed their close evolutionary relationship within the Cornaceae family. The findings provide new insights into the structure and features of these dogwood chloroplast genomes.
